AIn all of my years of studying the Bible and preaching the Gospel of God’s free and sovereign grace in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one truth that God has laid on my heart more than any other is this – JESUS CHRIST IS THE LORD MY RIGHTEOUSNESS.  This phrase encompasses the truth of the glorious Person of Christ both as God and Man without sin.  It involves the glory and power of His finished work in His obedience unto death as the Surety, Substitute, and Redeemer of His people.  I have found that one cannot fully or rightfully preach and believe in Christ without preaching and believing in Him as the Lord our Righteousness.  One cannot fully and rightfully preach and believe in righteousness without preaching and believing in Christ as He is identified and distinguished in the Bible, the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God.  God’s Word states – “That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 5:21).  This is the full Gospel wherein God reveals Himself as both a JUST GOD and a SAVIOR of His people.  It is my desire and prayer that the Lord will use this book to lead His people to read and study HIS book of books and be made “wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:15). - Bill Parker
